Jane M. Kledis, 98 of Temperance, MI, and formerly of Toledo, died Friday, June 2, 2017, at Ebeid Hospice Residence, Sylvania, OH. Born April 30, 1919, in Toledo, OH, the daughter of James and Bonnie (Fridaker) Elder. She married Orres D. Kledis on November 19, 1937. He preceded her in death on June 3, 2005. Jane and her husband, owned and operated the former Coliseum Restaurant on Ashland Avenue, for 53 years. They retired in 1978. Jane was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church in Toledo and enjoyed babysitting for the children in her neighborhood on Ford Avenue and watching the Detroit Tigers.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Carol Morgan and Susan (John) Kusz; 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. Jane was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Robert Morgan, 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
Visitation will be from 3-8 pm, Monday, June 5, 2017, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, OH.
